Venture Partner - Music and Arts
Bring your analytical skills and sector insight to build a portfolio of grants and ventures which transforms access and excellence in music and arts for children and young people.
Venture Partners are at the core of Purposeful Ventures’ work. Our Venture Partners provide the intellectual capital and the skills and experience that allow Purposeful Ventures, and all the ventures and projects we work with, to thrive and deliver social impact.
We are looking for a Venture Partner – Music and Arts to lead and develop a portfolio which aims to transform children and young people’s participation in, and opportunity to excel in, music and the arts, particularly those from lower socio-economic backgrounds.
We currently have five institutions in our classical music portfolio, focused on developing elite talent. You will lead on setting our expansion strategy, utilising your strong analytical skills and depth of sector knowledge to identify and address systemic issues. You will grow the portfolio of grants and ventures beyond elite talent, moving earlier into the education phases of the pipeline, and expanding beyond classical music.
You will work with mission-driven organisations and incubated ventures, partnering with them at a strategic level to support, challenge and inspire senior leadership to provide the strategic and operational plans needed to turn great programmes into sustainable and high-impact ventures and systemic change.
To excel in this role you will be an analytical and strategic thinker with exceptional stakeholder engagement skills. You will be excited to work with entrepreneurs, educators and industry experts alike, and use your strategic, operational and sector knowledge to build organisations and start-ups which deliver significant social impact and systemic change across music and the arts.
